Once that beautiful garden space has been created it requires, of course, care and maintenance. Ecological Homes supplies a range of garden care products designed to help you care for your garden with minimum fuss and minimum impact on the environment. One of the chores we all dread is mowing the lawn. All that noise, all that petrol and oil and all those greenhouse gases (a petrol-powered mower running for 30 minutes creates more air pollution than driving a car 320 kilometres)!

With the Enviromower Eco-500 an annoying, noisy and polluting chore becomes a breeze. The ECO-500 is a cordless electric lawn mower that is 75% quieter than your average petrol mower making it a whole lot easier to be a thoughtful neighbour. It has zero emissions, is virtually maintenance free and there are no hassles and hazards of petrol and oil. It starts by simply squeezing the handgrip and pushing a button - much easier than yanking a pull cord.

The combination of precision engineering and an efficient 2x12-volt battery’s allow for approximately 1 hour 20 minutes of running time on a single charge of 10-12 hours. Recharging an electric mower is easy. Simply connect it to an electric outlet. The battery can recharge 75% of its capacity in 3 to 5 hours. Batteries have average lives of 5 - 7 years, are recyclable, are easy to replace and only cost about as much as a car battery.
